We represent thousands of clients who have suffered occupational asthma. We have recovered millions in compensation. Here is a summary of a recent settlement -
Mr B, from Sheffield, received over £11,500
Mr B was exposed to excessive vibration whilst working at a former employer from 1973 to 2013 as a moulder and fettler. His duties involved the manufacture and production of moulds and components for the automated industry. This necessitated him working with electric powered grinders, saws, sanders and shot blasting machines. By reason of his exposure to the excessive vibration caused by these tools he developed vibration white finger disease.
He contacted Claims For You to make the claim. Initial instructions were taken and the claim was started against the insurers for his old employer. His medical records were obtained and a copy of his work history was obtained from HM Revenue & Customs. A medical report was prepared by an independent medical expert to prove and value the claim. The medical expert was of the opinion that due to the prolonged exposure to the vibrating tools, Mr B had developed HAVS (Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome). The insurers initially denied liability and did not respond to an offer made to them to settle the claim. To progress the matter, proceedings were issued. The insurers continued to deny liability and negotiations ensued. The insurers then made an offer of £11,930 in full and final settlement of the claim. Mr B accepted this offer.
Mr CB from Winsford, Cheshire received £25,000
He worked for 13 years as a dye worker exposed to acid fumes. He developed asthma and came to us and we recovered £25,000 in compensation for him.
